Canon printer offline on Windows and Mac
Canon IJ Network Tool and a correct port selection fix most offline reports on PIXMA and MAXIFY models.

- 1
Check the port in printer properties
The selected port must be a Canon IJ Network port or TCP/IP port matching the printer's IP, not a USB port.
- 2
Run the Canon IJ Network Tool
Open it, select the printer, and choose Associate Port to relink the driver to the printer's current IP.
- 3
Disable SNMP status
In port settings, untick SNMP Status Enabled. A failed SNMP reply wrongly reports the printer as offline.
- 4
On Mac, reset the printing system
System Settings > Printers & Scanners, right-click the list and choose Reset printing system, then re-add.
