Error code appeared right after clearing a jam

A jam that is pulled the wrong way can knock a sensor flag or leave a scrap behind. Recheck before panicking.

   Write down the exact code

   The code tells you which subsystem is complaining — paper path, carriage or sensor.

   Recheck the paper path

   Open every door again and look for a torn scrap near the registration and exit sensors.

   Check sensor flags move freely

   The small plastic levers in the path should spring back. A dislodged flag triggers permanent errors.

   Power cycle fully

   Unplug for 60 seconds so the firmware clears latched jam states, then power on with all doors closed.

5. 5

   Stop if the code persists

   A service-level code that survives all this means hardware damage — book a technician.
